How can I receive assistance this holiday season?

You must submit an application for assistance, including verification documents, to be considered for our program. This is a need based program, and only families in Kane County who are experiencing a severe financial hardship will be considered for assistance. Proof of your financial hardship will be required.

How do I apply?

Once you complete the application for assistance, you must submit it, along with verification documents, to be considered for assistance. You can submit your completed application and supporting documents through this page (please see below).

I have been approved for assistance, now what happens?

If your application for holiday assistance is approved, we will ask you to provide a personalized Christmas wish list for each child in your household. This helps our sponsors learn a little about your child’s interests, needs, and Christmas wishes so they can choose gifts especially for them.

Once we receive your child’s wish list, we will share it with the generous sponsor who has been matched with your child. The wish list is intended to provide sponsors with helpful ideas and guidance when selecting gifts.

While we cannot guarantee that every item on your child’s wish list will be purchased, our sponsors put a great deal of thought, care, and generosity into making Christmas special for the children they sponsor.

Our hope is that every child feels remembered, celebrated, and surrounded by a little extra Christmas magic.

When should I expect to receive the gifts for my child?

Our goal is to have all Christmas gifts delivered to recipient families by the second week of December, giving you plenty of time to prepare for Christmas with your family.

As the delivery date approaches, our Santa’s Helpers team will contact you in advance with the date and approximate time for your gift pick-up or delivery. We ask that you please watch for communication from our team during this time so we can make sure your gifts reach you safely and smoothly.

We know how special this time of year is, and our team of volunteers works hard behind the scenes to make sure every family receives their gifts with plenty of time to enjoy a little Christmas magic.
